About

Crossland Roots Genealogy is committed to assisting clients with researching their family roots, locating documents, and answering difficult genealogical questions.

Angela Harrington, mathematician, banker and owner of Crossland Roots Genealogy, has been researching family history for over 15 years. Starting with her own tree, her passion for research has led her to  help families shine light on their family trees: discovering unknown relatives and lost facts about loved ones. Through detailed research of online repositories, local archives, and information given by families, Angela strategically weaves together the story for families. Specializing in African American Genealogy, a field with many hurdles, she is no stranger to a difficult research question. She has completed coursework from Boston University’s renowned Genealogical Studies Program. She is a member of the National Genealogical Society and the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society.
